Annual Lakes & Ponds Education Day April 12th
The Pinellas County Natural Resources Section and the City of Largo are pleased to invite you to the annual Lakes & Ponds Education Day event.
This 3½-hour free workshop is intended for volunteers and citizens interested in the health and management of our water resources, specifically community lakes and stormwater ponds. It will be an opportunity to share information, to gain useful management tips, and to learn more about the efforts of similar organizations.
The event will be held in trade show format with featured presentations. Attendees will be able to mingle among the displays from government, environmental, and private organizations. We invite you to bring in a plant specimen you would like to have identified (please bring specimen in a Ziploc bag with water from the pond).
This event is a great opportunity to find out about proper Florida landscaping techniques and of course we will have FREE native plants! Please bring your grocery bags to carry aquatic plants. We will also be giving away waders, EZ reachers, and educational materials to help you manage your ponds and landscapes.
Register at the link below. Please register each person individually so we have an accurate head count for refreshments—Thanks! You will receive an email confirmation when you are registered. Space is limited.
PLEASE REGISTER BEFORE APRIL 4TH (link below)
Your Lakes & Ponds Education Day Coordinators will be Julie Vogel, Anamarie Rivera and Melissa Harrison of Pinellas County Natural Resources Section.
Sponsors: Sponsorships are invited for this event. If you would like to participate, please contact Anamarie Rivera at 727-464-4605.
