Water quality at Joe’s Creek tests clean

Pinellas County Utilities officials received satisfactory results from the water quality test samples that were taken at Joe’s Creek on Feb. 17. Residents are being notified that Joe’s Creek is safe for recreational activities.

The testing was done after a sanitary sewer line leak at South Cross Bayou Water Reclamation Facility released approximately 1,500 to 2,000 gallons. Residents were asked to refrain from using Joe’s Creek as a precautionary measure until the water quality tests were completed.
