"Water in Florida" forum video now available online

If you missed the water forum that took place in March 2012 at Harbor Hall on the University of South Florida's St. Petersburg campus, now you can watch the whole thing on your computer, as ideo of the event has been posted online. The event, "Water in Florida: Environmental Humanities Meet Public Policy," included speakers, a panel discussion and a Q&A session. It featured distinguished speakers like former governor Bob Martinez, writer and filmmaker Bill Belleville, journalist Cynthia Barnett, photographer John Moran and former Office of Water Policy administrator Tom Swihart.

The goal of the forum was to provide a venue for for public discourse about the intersection of Environmental Humanities and Public Policy. It focused on questions like these:
  • How can we better understand Florida’s environment and thoughtfully engage in the policymaking process?
  • What are the state’s most critical resources and how can their protection be balanced with other priorities?
