Sponsors sought for Lakes & Ponds Education Day May 4th
Each spring, Pinellas County offers a free workshop for volunteers and citizens interested in the health and management of our water resources, specifically community lakes and stormwater ponds. It is an opportunity to share information, to gain useful management tips, and to learn more about the efforts of similar organizations.
The event, co-sponsored by the City of Largo, will be held in trade show format with featured presentations. Attendees will be able to mingle among the displays from government, environmental, and private organizations. They can bring in plant specimens for identification. The event is a great opportunity to educate the public about proper Florida landscaping techniques, and attendees we will be offered free native plants. The County will also be giving away waders, EZ reachers, and educational materials to help citizens manage their ponds and landscapes.
Sponsors and exhibitors are invited to participate at this event. Four levels of sponsorship are available. Government and educational nonprofits may have an exhibit table at no cost. Please see the sponsorship flyer at the link below for more details.
