Volunteers Needed for Water Cleanup at Glen Oaks Park

CLEARWATER – The City of Clearwater will host a water cleanup at Glen Oaks Park, and volunteers are needed to remove trash, litter, and debris from the water and surrounding land areas. Volunteers are encouraged to bring canoes and kayaks, and some boats will be available for use. Event details are as follows:

Date: Saturday, March 23, 2013
Time: 9 a.m. to Noon
Where: Glen Oaks Park, 1345 Court St.
Why: To remove trash, litter, and debris from water and surrounding land areas. Special Instructions: Wear closed-toed shoes. Trash pickers, trash bags, gloves, and drinking water will be provided. All ages are welcome, and service hours will be validated.
