"Clam Bayou Trash Bash" Begins Feb. 20th
"The Clam Bayou Trash Bash" is a major effort to reduce the amount of litter and debris from this beautiful estuary, thereby protecting the wildlife that makes it their habitat, plus reducing the amount of trash that washes into Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
This special volunteer event will be held four Saturdays in a row beginning on February 20th, 2010. Each Saturday will be at a different location and will have different types of volunteers needed.
After the last cleanup on March 13th, there will be a Finale Party for all "Clam Bayou Trash Bash" Volunteers at 11:30 AM. All volunteers should pre-register with Keep Pinellas Beautiful by calling 727-533-0402, and will enjoy the following:
- Refreshments (Pizza) at all cleanup events
- T-Shirts, Hot Dogs/BBQ, soda
- Thank You prize drawings and live music at the Finale Party
