VERY low tide at Sunset Beach Park

Low tides are common in the winter, but the low tide we witnessed at Sunset Beach Park on November 21, 2010 was really something to see.  You could have walked from Sunset Beach Park to Fred Howard Park ½ of a mile to the north!

The birds were having a field day.  Easy pickens' on the exposed seagrass.  There were cast netters throwing their nets in places that they could never have reached in a higher tide. Beachcombers looking for treasures were walking a beach that is very rarely exposed. It was truly an interesing thing to see.
